We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Peer Support Coordinator to join our team in our Surrey service working peripatetically across all Surrey prisons and Gatwick (you will be based at HMP High Down).

Job description for the Regional Peer Support Coordinator

  • The Regional Peer Support Coordinator will support the Service Managers and the prison to champion the Integrated Service
  • Train service users to become peer supporters who deliver peer-led interventions and become peer supporters across all wings of the prison
  • Support and develop Health & Wellbeing Champions within the prisons
  • Improve the links between the integrated service and the service users within the prison

Requirements for the Regional Peer Support Coordinator

  • Flexibility is required as you will be working regionally across all Surrey prisons and may include some evening weekend shifts with reasonable notice
  • Results and outcome-orientated
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice sector and issues facing substance misusers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to support colleagues in an empathetic and holistic manner
