Job title:                Fixed Wire Testing Engineer

Salary:                  £42,000 – £48,000 per annum

Location:              South UK (Mainly Hampshire, Berkshire, London, Surrey, West Sussex, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire)

Job type:              Full Time, Permanent

Hours:                  40 hours per week

Intersafe are looking to recruit an experienced Electrician – Fixed Wire to join a rapidly growing team, to work across the South of the UK.

 

Job description for Electrician – Fixed Wire Tester

  • This Electrician – Fixed Wire Testing Engineer role involves conducting fixed wire testing and completing laptop-based EICR reports, mainly for large commercial organisations.
  • You will complete emergency light testing and occasional remedial work, as well as thermographic surveys (full training will be provided).
  • All work must be completed in accordance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (18th Edition training will be provided).
  • Regular travel will be required within the South UK region.

 

Requirements for the Electrician – Fixed Wire Tester

  • At least 1 year of testing experience in a similar environment
  • C&G 2391 or 2394/95 qualified
  • C&G 2360, 2330 (or equivalent) Level 3 in Electrical installations
  • 18th Edition qualified (18th edition training will be provided for the right candidate)
  • Full current driving license
  • You will enjoy a varied working pattern (whilst some days are 9am-5pm, others will require you to complete the testing out of hours or, occasionally, at weekends)
  • You will live in the Reading, Guildford, Basingstoke area as this is central to the region
  • Ability to work unsupervised, use own initiative and have a good attention to detail
  • You will have a positive attitude, a flexible approach to work and ability to adapt to clients’ needs
